# Getting Started

Install Akira JNI Cosmic, log in, and get into the menu on Cosmic Client for the first time.

This walks you from a fresh purchase to the in-game menu. It takes a few minutes.

First, make sure your setup is supported — see [Compatibility](/product-guides/akira-jni-cosmic/compatibility.md). Akira JNI Cosmic runs on Minecraft 1.8.9 through the official Cosmic Client launcher only.

## Install and inject

### Download Akira JNI Cosmic

With an active subscription, download Akira JNI Cosmic from your dashboard and save it somewhere you can find it again.

Make sure you grab the Cosmic build specifically — the standard Akira JNI download will not work on Cosmic Client.

### Whitelist it in your antivirus

Akira can trip antivirus false positives, so whitelist it before you run it. If you're on Windows Defender, BitDefender, ESET, or Avast, our [whitelist tool](https://dashboard.akiraghost.com/utils/whitelist.bat) does it for you — run it and paste the path to Akira when prompted. For anything else, search `[your antivirus] whitelist program`.

### Run Akira and log in

Double-click Akira and sign in with your account. Once you're logged in, it's ready to inject.

### Launch Minecraft through Cosmic Client

Open the Cosmic Client launcher and start Minecraft 1.8.9 from it. The order doesn't matter — you can start Minecraft before or after Akira. Once you're logged in and the game is running, Akira injects on its own.

### Open the menu

When you're in-game, press your menu key to open Akira. From there you can browse the [feature categories](/product-guides/akira-jni/features.md), bind keys, and load a config — everything works exactly as it does in Akira JNI.
