# FAQ

## What versions does Akira JNI support?

Akira JNI supports Minecraft **1.7.10** and **1.8.9**. Some features may work on one version but not the other. See [Compatibility](/product-guides/akira-jni/compatibility.md) for the full picture.

## Which launchers and clients are supported?

Akira JNI works with **Vanilla**, **Forge**, and **Lunar**. Because it injects into the running game, its launcher list is shorter than Akira Memory's. If your launcher isn't here, it isn't supported yet.

## Which operating systems are supported?

Akira JNI is built for **Windows 10** and **Windows 11**. It isn't developed for custom Windows builds (Atlas, ReviOS, Ghost Spectre, and similar), and it doesn't run on macOS or Linux.

## Memory client vs. JNI client — what's the difference?

A JNI client injects into the game and becomes part of its runtime, which unlocks deeper features and higher precision but ties it to specific launchers and versions. ## Akira won't inject, or the menu won't open

This is usually antivirus, an unsupported launcher or version, or a load that didn't finish. Work through the [Troubleshooting](/product-guides/akira-jni/troubleshooting.md) page — it covers each cause in order.

## A feature is missing from my menu

Not every feature is available on every launcher and version. If a module doesn't show up, it likely isn't supported in your current setup. Try the other supported version or launcher.

## Does Akira JNI increase my lag?

Akira itself doesn't add lag, but some CPU-heavy features raise your overall CPU usage, which can cause minor drops. Within reasonable limits the impact is small — Akira is built to run efficiently. If you hit lag spikes, tell support and we'll look into it.

## Is Akira JNI detectable?

Any cheating software carries some risk of detection, and injection clients interact closely with the game. Akira uses advanced techniques to keep that risk low, but there's never a 100% guarantee. Use it responsibly, and ask us before buying if you're unsure where it's safe.

## Is Akira JNI a virus or malware?

No. Akira is safe to use. Because of how it interacts with the game, some antivirus software flags it as a threat — a false positive common to software that uses techniques associated with malware. We work with antivirus vendors to keep Akira recognized as legitimate. If you're worried, reach out through support.
