# SnapTap

Makes the most recently pressed movement key win when you hold two opposite directions, instead of cancelling into a standstill.

Hold A and D at the same time in vanilla and the two inputs cancel, leaving you standing still at exactly the moment you wanted to change direction. The *SnapTap* module makes the most recently pressed key take over instead, so counter-strafing snaps cleanly from one direction to the other.

## Axis

Which key pairs to clean up.

### Both

Applies to horizontal and vertical pairs alike. The default.

### Horizontal

Only A and D. This is a fixed-strength correction, so it will feel slightly less natural than the vertical version.

### Vertical

Only W and S. This runs through the game's own movement handling, which means sprint, ice, and speed potions all still apply to it normally.

## Disable On Sneak

Stops correcting opposite key presses while you're sneaking. On by default, so precise sneak-edge movement behaves exactly as you'd expect.

## Only On Ground

Only corrects opposite key presses while you're standing on a block, never mid-air. Off by default.

**Recommended:** leave **Axis** on **Both**. The vertical correction is the more natural of the two, and there's no reason to give up the horizontal one unless A/D feels off to you.
