# Keybinds

Akira's visual keyboard lets you bind any module to any key — or mouse button — without typing a thing. Every key that already has a binding is highlighted in your accent color so you can see your layout at a glance.

## Bind modes

Each binding has a **mode** that controls when the module activates.

| Mode       | What it does                                                                                                     |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Hold** | The module is active only while you hold the key down. Release the key, and it turns off. |
| **Toggle** | Press once to turn the module on, press again to turn it off. The key acts like a light switch. |
| **Always** | The module runs continuously regardless of any key. No key press required — it stays on as long as it's enabled. |

## Binding a key

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the keybind overlay

Click the **Keybinds** button in the menu. A full-screen overlay appears showing a keyboard layout — including a numpad section — plus a row of mouse buttons below it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click the key you want to bind

Keys that are already bound to at least one module appear in your accent color. Hover over a bound key to see a tooltip listing every module assigned to it. Click any key (or mouse button) to open its assignment panel.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Pick a module

A panel slides open next to the key. If anything is already bound to that key, it appears at the top under **Currently Bound** with an **X** button to remove it. Below that, a **Search** field lets you filter by module name or category.

Scroll through the categorized list — Combat, Movement, Visuals, Misc — and click any module name to bind it to this key. The panel closes and the key immediately lights up in your accent color.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set the bind mode

Go to the module's own settings page and choose **Hold**, **Toggle**, or **Always** from the mode dropdown. The mode you pick here is what the HUD keybinds widget shows next to the module name in-game.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Press **Escape** while the key panel is open to close the panel without making changes. Press Escape again (or click the X in the corner) to close the full keybind overlay.
{% endhint %}

## Seeing what's bound

**Hover over any highlighted key** to see a tooltip that lists every module bound to it and its category. No clicking needed.

**Click a key** to open the assignment panel. The **Currently Bound** section at the top shows every module on that key. You can remove a binding there by clicking its **X** button.

**Use the search field** in the assignment panel to find a specific module quickly. It matches on both module name and category, so searching "combat" shows every combat-category module.

### Mouse buttons

The keyboard overlay includes a row of mouse buttons at the bottom: **LMB** (left click), **RMB** (right click), **MMB** (middle click), **M4** (side button 1), and **M5** (side button 2). You can bind modules to any of them exactly like a keyboard key.
